Vegas Baby

Yes we went to Vegas. Good trip, I cannot believe that I'm going to say this but it was almost too hot - 87 deg. Don't get me wrong, I like the heat when I'm expecting it.
We like walking the strip, so it makes it for a hot walk. I guess it beats the rain that comes about twice a year. This year we were at the Rio. We have never stayed off strip before and it is not that bad of a hotel. I would not put it on my list of places to go back to, but if I had to, I would not be too upset.

Strange Thought

While driving into work this morning, I heard a radio ad for a cemetery. When I was a kid, my cousin and I would go to the cemetery by our house to fish and play around the lagoon that was there. Did not think anything of it.
I wonder what would happen if I tried that now?

Fall Colors

Saturday we took a trip up to the big castle on top of the hill, holy hill!! I can't believe that I am going to say this, but the colors were gorgeous and the church was beautiful! Gosh, I feel so old!

Pumpkins

We also carved pumpkins....Shannon is very much her father. Digging into the pumpkin two fists and all. Kieran and I were much more dainty, using the spoon and not wanting to get our hands dirty! All in all, some very good pumpkins for the Dwyers this year!

Summer Fun

The Next Jill Armstrong

So we took off the training wheels on Shannon's bike on September 6th.

She ran into the pine tree. So on September 6th we put the training wheels back on.

A few weeks later we took them off again and off she went.

Kieran on the other hand, prefers off road biking.

The Perfect Brother

So far, Kieran is a boy. I was a little concerned after the dress-up that he was doing with Shannon and Ms. Amy. But after a trip to Hooters with Grandpa, we have him on the right track. He is becoming the perfect little brother, or as Sue calls him "a little shit".I'll explain. Sue was getting ready for work and from the other room Shannon kept saying "stop it, Kieran." Again and again "stop it." Sue went into the room and found Kieran roaring like a lion at Shannon. Every time she said to stop, he roared again. Like I said, the perfect brother.Wait until I teach him about locking your sisters in the basement or messing with their stuffed animals.

I'm A Geek

I'm a geek. Plain and simple. I always have been (I'll post my H.S. picture sometime) always will be.
I thought I would start this blog so I could seem cool. I also have MySpace, FaceBook and any other thing that helps me raise my cool level. I still do not have an iPod, I know, I know, back to geek status.

Anyway, I wanted to share some pictures of my family and stuff. A blatant rip-off from my brother-in-law's blog (check it out:http://mattgeiger.blogspot.com/).
A little about our family.
Sue is not quite a geek. She is, however an accountant, so you can decide.
Shannon is, well, Shannon. I guess she is probably like any other 4 year old but I don't hang around with to many of them every day, so I'm not sure.
Kieran is 2. Have you heard about the terrible two's. Look it up on line, his picture is there.
I guess for all of you animal lovers, we have a dog Maxx. Maxx is a female. I just always wanted a black lab named Max (from the Grinch Who Stole Christmas cartoon) so I got a a chocolate lab and named her Maxx. Maxx actually found my sister Michelle and Mick already had a dog, so I took her in.
No if I can only figure out how to post pictures..... I know. Still a geek.
